Biological Activity
The biological activity of TGFB3 is measured in culture by its ability to inhibit the mink lung epithelial (Mv1Lu) cells proliferation. ED50 less than 40ng/ml corresponding to a specific activity of 25,000 Units/mg.
Formulation
Lyophilized from a concentrated (1mg/ml) solution containing 50mM Tris-HCl pH-7.4.
Physical Appearence
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity
Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized TGFB3 in sterile 5mM HCl & 50ug/ml BSA at a concentration of 0.05mg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Stability
Lyophilized TGFB3 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18oC. Upon reconstitution TGFB3 Human should be stored at 4oC between 2-7 days and for future use below -18oC. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
