The sequence of the first five N-terminal amino acids of MIP-4 was determined and found to be Ala-Gln-Val-Gly-Thr.
The Activity MIP-4 is calculated by the ability to chemoattract Human T lymphocytes at 1-10ng/ml corresponding to a Specific Activity of 10,000-100,000IU/mg.
MIP-4 protein is lyophilized from a 0.2Ωm filtered concentrated (1.0mg/ml) solution in 20mM PB, pH 7.4, 100mM NaCl.
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Greater than 97.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized MIP-4 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
Lyophilized MIP-4 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18oC. Upon reconstitution MIP-4 should be stored at 4oC between 2-7 days and for future use below -18oC. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
