Influenza-B Virus Florida 07/04
Allantoic fluid of 10 days old embryonated eggs, inoculated with influenza B virus, strain B/Florida/07/04. The Influenza B Virus was purified by Ultracentrifugation with 10-40 % sucrose gradient.
Formulation
The B/Florida/07/04 solution contains STE, 0.1 % sodium azide (NaN3) and 0.005 % thimerosal.
Immunological Functions
Tested with anti-influenza B monoclonal antibodies in ELISA. Serological studies of influenza B virus, immunogen for antibody production.
Inactivation
The product has been treated by thimerosal and beta propiolactone treatment, in a manner consistent with methods of inactivation.
Generally accepted good laboratory practices appropriate to microbiological/viral safe handling practices and techniques are required when using the product.
Physical Appearance
Sterile Filtered colorless solution.
Purity
Greater than 90.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage
B/Florida/07/04 although stable 4°C for 4 weeks, should be stored below -18°C. Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
