SARS-CoV-2 Nucleic Acid Dual-Detection Kit (One-step qRT PCR Method)
This kit uses one-step qRT-PCR methods to quantitatively detect the conserved regions of the SARS-CoV-2 virus (the virus causes the CoVID19 disease in human). RNA is isolated from subject samples (e.g. nosal and/or mouth swabs) and used in one-step qRT-PCR analysis. The Taqman probes in one-step supermix are designed to bind specifically to the conserved regions of the SARS-CoV-2 virus genome (the N gene and the ORF1ab gene).
To monitor the qualities of sample collection, RNA extraction and PCR operation, the human ribonuclease P (RNP) gene is used in the kit as internal control. This helps avoid false negative to the greatest extent.
The following types of samples have been tested with the kit: throat swab, nasal swab, nasopharyngeal extract, sputum or spit, respiratory tract tissue extract, bronchial perfuate, alveolar lavage, lung tissue extract, stool extract and urine extract.
