1F8 Chagas Recombinant
Recombinant Chagas 1F8 protein (Epitope of the flagellar calcium-binding protein FCABP of Trypanosoma cruzi) produced in E. Coli, is a polypeptide chain having a total of 234 amino acids (includes his tag). The protein is fused to a 6-His tag having a total Mw of 25.8kDa and a theoretical pI of 5.39.
Accession Number: P07749
Applications
Reacts with sera from infected patients, Useful for immunoassays.
Formulation
1F8 Chagas antigen was lyophilized from 20mM Hepes, 300mM NaCl, pH-8, and varying 284mM imidazole.
Purity
Protein is >90% pure as determined by SDS PAGE.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized 1F8 Chagas protein in sterile distilled pyrogen free water at 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
