Insulin, Mouse Anti-Human
Monoclonal Antibody
Monoclonal antibodies provide the best target specificity and affinity. It is also advantagous for long term projects as there is little lot to lot variation, where polycolonal antibodies will vary significantly with different preparations due to immunogen preparation and animal responses.
Applications
Detection of insulin in two-site enzyme immunoassay.
Clone
7F8.
These clone have been derived from hybridization of X63-Ag8-653 myeloma cells with spleen cells of Balb/c mice immunised with purified human insulin.
Formulation
The vial contains antibody in PBS, pH 7.4, containing 0.1% of sodium azide as preservative. Store at + 4oC.
Mouse Isotype
Protein concentration
Purification
Purified by chromatography on protein A Sepharose. Purity is tested by electrophoresis.
Reactivity
Kass for clone 7F8 is 7.5 x 109M-1. These antibodies cross-reacts with human proinsulin, bovine insulin (30%) and porcine insulin. No cross-reaction with free C-peptide.
