IL 8 Human (1-77)

Interleukin-8 (1-77 a.a) Human Recombinant (CXCL8)

Interleukin-8 Human Recombinant produced in E.Coli is a single, non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 77 amino acids and having a molecular mass of 8904 Dalton.
The IL-8 is purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Accession

P10145

Amino acid sequence

AVLPRSAKEL RCQCIKTYSK PFHPKFIKEL RVIESGPHCA NTEIIVKLSD GRELCLDPKE NWVQRVVEKF LKRAENS.

Biological Activity

Specific Activity of IL8 in chemotaxis of donor PBL neutrophils, threshold concentration corresponding to 25-150ng/ml corresponding to a Specific Activity of 6,667-40,000IU/mg.

Formulation

Lyophilized from a concentrated (1mg/ml) solution in water containing no additives.

Physical Appearance

Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.

Purity

Greater than 98.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.

Solubility

It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized Interleukin 8 in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Source

Escherichia Coli.

Stability

Lyophilized Interleukin-8 although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18oC. Upon reconstitution CXCL8 should be stored at 4oC between 2-7 days and for future use below -18oC. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA).
Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
