Biological Activity
The ED50, calculated by the dose-dependant stimulation of the proliferation of murine M-NFS-60 indicator cells was found 0.91ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 1MIU/mg.
Formulation
The protein (1mg/ml) was lyophilized with 5mM Tris, pH 8.0 + 100mM NaCl.
Physical Appearance
Sterile Filtered White lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder.
Purity
Greater than 98.0% as determined by:
(a) Analysis by RP-HPLC.
(b) Analysis by SDS-PAGE.
Solubility
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized M-CSF in sterile 18MΩ-cm H2O not less than 100ug/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.

Stability
Lyophilized M-CSF although stable at room temperature for 3 weeks, should be stored desiccated below -18oC. Upon reconstitution MCSF should be stored at 4oC between 2-7 days and for future use below
-18oC.
Please prevent freeze-thaw cycles.
